Jason Romero is much more than a speaker and elite athlete; he has over 20 years of executive experience leading and motivating highly effective teams around the globe. He has led Centralized Global Operations as a vice president for Western Union. In that position he was responsible to centralize back office operations from 4 polar operations centers in Europe/Middle East/Africa, Asia, Central/South America and North America. He had global responsibility for agent enrollment processes, technical operations, call center operations, workforce management, quality & training, supply chain, vendor management and customer advocacy. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with General Electric where he held roles of increasing responsibility in legal, risk, financial services, sales and operations where he ultimately served as an expatriate general manager for a $400 million division of GE Capital in Latin America. He began his career as an attorney.
Jason has been extremely involved in his communities serving on boards and corporate community action committees, volunteering and raising funds to support special needs, youth, homelessness and the blind. He currently serves as a member of Rose Community Foundation’s Health Committee (a 501c3 focusing on early-childhood mental health issues), a Board member for Christ's Body Ministries (a 501c3 organization which supports Denver's Homeless community), and Grace Counseling (a Faith based 501c3 organization providing mental health services).
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of San Diego and a Juris Doctorate at the University of Colorado School of Law. He is a native of Denver and has three children.
